Each element was carefully chosen to create distinct zones for entertaining, lounging and retreat. Despite site constraints and challenges the final design offers a modern outdoor experience that is both functional and serene.

🌿 Contemporary Outdoor Living - S13

The client had recently purchased a bungalow in S13 and was undertaking a full renovation to create a cohesive contemporary aesthetic — both inside and out. The garden, however, presented several challenges:

Uneven terrain and difficult levels
Exposure to strong winds from a nearby main road
Lack of outdoor electrics, despite plans for integrated lighting

We delivered a bold, multi-functional outdoor space that balances elegance with practicality — tailored to the site’s constraints and the client’s lifestyle.

✨ Key Features

Split-Level Patios: Magnum Grey porcelain tiles were used to create multi-tiered patios, defining zones for dining, relaxing, and entertaining. The layout enhances flow while adding architectural interest.
Structural Walling: Raised beds and perimeter walls were constructed with foundation footings and breeze blocks, then clad in Blue Black slate wall cladding with mitred edges for a crisp, contemporary finish.
Larch Timber Fencing: Installed to provide wind protection and acoustic buffering from the road, the fencing also adds warmth and texture to the garden.
Planting Scheme A curated selection of trees, climbers, and contemporary planting softens the hard landscaping and adds seasonal interest, privacy and vertical greenery.
Water Wall Feature A bespoke water wall clad in Anthracite wall cladding creates a tranquil focal point, introducing movement and sound to elevate the sensory experience of the garden.
Integrated Groundworks Electrical infrastructure was incorporated during ground preparation to support lighting installations — ensuring the garden remains functional and atmospheric after dark.
