A complete transformation of an old, rotten and unsafe timber deck into a modern outdoor living space, combining structural upgrades, improved drainage, new outdoor features and a full utility room refurbishment.
With no direct garden access, every material had to be carried manually through a neighbour’s property, demanding meticulous planning, teamwork and significant physical effort. What was once unsafe and unusable is now a clean, functional and beautifully finished space the homeowners can enjoy all year round.

🌿 Design Brief
To create a modern outdoor living space by replacing the old, rotten and unsafe wooden decking. The build combined structural improvements, upgraded drainage, new outdoor features and a full utility‑room refurbishment - all delivered on a logistically challenging site with no direct access.

The site had no direct access to the garden, requiring all materials to be carried manually through a neighbour’s property. With no machinery available, the project relied entirely on careful planning, teamwork and physical effort.

Raised patio built with Marshalite and brick retaining walls
Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone paving for a clean, contemporary finish
Upgraded surface and land drainage to protect the new build long‑term
New fencing to both boundaries
Feature pergola with rubber roof, gutters, cladding and full electrics for all‑season use
Utility room rebuild including composite cladding, patio doors, insulation, plumbing, electrics and a new boiler flue
